Never a Lender Be
Posted in: Tanna
Tip for the day. Never let Lindsay Lohan borrow your jewelry. She keeps “losing” jewelry that was loaned to her. What have you lent to friends and never gotten back? Money, clothes, books ….your man?

Are YOU ready for Fall?
Posted in: Taylor
My wife and I have been looking at the trees in the neighborhood lately on our evening walk with DS Jake and noticed that some leaves are already starting to lose their green and change color. I really hope we have a long colorful Fall here in Kansas City, we need one. What does your neighborhood look like lately? Do you rake leaves into piles to jump in, or leave em’ lay until the spring (I do both actually, front rake, back leave em). Fall is one of my favorite seasons for just that reason, guess I’m a just a big kid (is that an oxymoron?) after all.. Have a great weekend everyone

Waiting for the Beep
Posted in: Uncategorized
Not to go off on a rant here, but what’s up with people who force you to listen to a long song or a lame joke before you can leave a message on their phone? I returned a call from a woman who wanted to get her event posted on the KUDL public service calendar. I got her answering machine. Actually, it was just Jeff Healy’s song “Angel Eyes”. Great song but I don’t need someone playing d.j. for me when I’m returning a phone call. After 15 seconds, I hung. Maybe what she had to say was important; I’ll never know, unless she calls back.

Cheating Man
Posted in: Tanna
AVirginia man who cheated on his wife was forced to stand on a busy intersection holding a sign that read: “I cheated. This is my punishment”. His wife made the sign for him. After a few hours, she texted him and told him he’d been out there long enough and ordered him to come home.

Lost & Found Phone
Posted in: Tanna
I had a panic attack; couldn’t find my phone. When did it become as important as my lipstick? I can’t live without either. I apparently had dropped it in the KUDL parking lot. After frantically dialing my number, a guy answered. Ashley Emert. He was on his way to drop it off at an AT&T store knowing they could track me down. He graciously agreed to turn around and bring it back to me in the studio. Great guy. Didn’t even check the naughty text messages sent by my husband. I must remember to delete those! Anyway, Ashley owns his own remodeling company. His number is 816-645-1232. His e-mail is ashleysremodeling@yahoo.com. I know he’s honest.

Always looking….
Posted in: Taylor
I was looking out my window in my studio here at the Entercom Complex here in Kansas City, and noticed the red fox had returned from where ever it had gone to.. Let me explain, in the middle of this busy intersection of Shawnee Mission Pkwy and Metcalf, there is a hole in the ground off of the on ramp to Metcalf ( I think it’s a drainage pipe)… and out of that hole a red fox lives, he comes out now and again pokes it’s head around looking for a quick meal of a field mouse or rabbit; I haven’t seen him in a couple of years and today he just shows up. Where has he been the last two years? I’m glad it’s back, because the beauty of nature and wildlife like that in the middle of the big city is really amazing if you think about it.
