Always Remember

SMOOTH SUNDAY BRUNCH SET 9/12/10
Hello my friends, as we mark the 9th anniversary of 9-11, we must remember to never forget the sacrifices made and how we came together as a nation both to mourn and to offer our fallen brothers and sisters our help in restoring honor, hope and charity to our nation. We still have a long way to go to achieve that, but please stop a moment and reflect, gather with your own family and if you choose to do so, say a prayer for the souls of those lost and for those who continue to fight for our freedom and the freedom of others both home and abroad. Thank you for your continued support.
I have some great music to spin for you on this edition of the Smooth Sunday Brunch, new cuts from NILS and David Wells, plus a couple of tracks you haven’t heard in a long time.. so here’s the to do list and don’t’ forget to become a fan on Facebook, the links at the bottom of this post. Best Friends with the Ex?
Posted in: Tanna
Phil Collins, who’s been married 3 times, says he’s still best friends with his last ex. In fact, he says they both still love each other and he doesn’t actually know why they got divorced. I’m sure his current girlfriend and his ex-wife’s new hubby love hearing that. Are you still best friends with your ex or are you one of those people who has to LIKE their best friend?

A Boy’s Life
Posted in: Tanna
A friend wanted me to ask this question for her. Maxim magazine is like Cosmo for guys. Is it o.k. for her 14 year old son to read it? It’s not pornography, but it does feature scantily clad women, although, nothing more revealing then what you’d see in a Calvin Klein ad.

Primping behind the wheel
Posted in: Tanna
My girlfriends Kristi, Barb and I had dinner on the patio last night at Cafe Roux in Park Place. We were quite amused by the gentleman who tried to parallel park beside us. He did a horrible job, bumping the car in front and leaving his at an angle. Then, he sat inside his car for, at least, 7 minutes, primping. He pulled out a brush and a can of hair spray and fooled with his hair until he got it just right. We thought he must have had some crazy comb-over but when he got out, we saw he had a full head of short-cropped hair. We can’t figure out what he was doing to it. So my KUDL question of the day is, what’s your beauty routine behind the wheel? What do you check in the rear view mirror before getting out: your face, teeth or hair?

Better Shape Up!
Posted in: Tanna
Companies are pushing employees to live healthier, bribing them to lose weight and quit smoking. Does it work when your boss tells you to shape up, literally? At KUDL, they’re recruiting volunteers to serve on a Wellness Committee. You suppose someone will be assigned to monitor the snack machine…”don’t push the button for the Snickers bar…hit the “healthy choice” selection instead!”

The Coolest Thing Ever!
Posted in: Taylor
Ok, I have to toot the horn of my brother in law Blake Lowe, who is truly talented. For my sons 2nd birthday, we go with themes, and this year, we decided that since he loves the drums, we would buy him a real drum set, yes I said real drum set, sure they are loud, but for a 2 year old, he’s got exceptional rhythm. Anyway, because the theme was drums, Blake, who does claymation characters built this drum cake topper for him. The bass drum kick peddle actually works and the high-hat works as well. It’s pretty cool really, and I’m proud to share it with you

Dating Moratorium for Cheaters
Posted in: Tanna
Sandra Bullock’s cheatin’ ex has bought a house near hers in Texas where he’s been publicly walking around with his new tattooed squeeze. Should there be a dating moratorium for a cheater and, if so, for how long? I think a 3 to 6 month wait would be appropriate, and even then, keep it on the down-low.
