Thrifty Shopper

Posted in: Tanna

I had a KUDL radio remote at the Goodwill store at 135th & Metcalf Saturday and saw the coolest jean jacket when I walked in.  Check this.  It was on sale for $4.98.  I couldn’t pass it up.  My girlfriends love it but one of them advised me to not mention where I got it. I pesonally don’t care.  While I adore the shopping experience at Nordstrom’s, I also love a great find at a consignment or thrift store.  Should that be a secret?  If so, I guess I’m hosed!

  1. I don’t shop consignment or Goodwill, but I also don’t pay full price for anything. I buy everything on sale and usually wait until I find it at least 50% off and hopefully 60% or more. Then I watch the clearance racks and use my coupons at the same time. I’ve gotten $55 blouses for as little as $5. But I also brag about the deals I’ve gotten.

  2. I love a good deal, clearance, coupon, sale or consignment, ect!!My favorite consignment store is New 2 You in Gardner. Locally owned, they specialize in nice furniture, homegoods and showcase local artisans work. I recently picked up 6 mugs and 6 plates for $11. I plan to use these pieces for cookie trays and gifts for my son’s teachers. I have also picked up some beautiful blue glass pieces, even purple martini glasses for a friend’s Christmas present.
